Maitreya Buddha amulets

Buddha Maitreya, (Tibetan: Jetsun Jampa Gonpo) is a Mahābodhisattva
who would be the next Buddha to come when teaching the Buddha Sakyamuni, will have disappeared.

Belief in the advent of Maitreya, is common
to theravāda and mahāyāna schools of Buddhism.

In the distant future (about 5000 years after the Parinirvana of Buddha Sakyamuni), when the Buddhist teachings are extinguished,
the Buddha Maitreya, will incarnate to teach again
the Holy Dharma.

The Most Holy Nagarjuna describes the devotion towards Maitreya,
as an easy way to enlightenment.
Buddha Maitreya is known as a protector of beings,
wearing an amulet in his image
against the dangers of material life and a physical connection
with the Buddha of the future.
