Thang Thong Gyalpo
Iron mala from Mahasiddha Thangtong Gyalpo.

These mala are composed of 30% iron from links
from one of the famous Chakzampa (Iron bridge) built almost
the 600th anniversary
by the Mahasiddha Thangtong Gyalpo (1385-1509).

Iron mala are mentioned in the texts of Guru Rinpoche as being very conducive to the practices of the protectors,
and more specifically
for the practice of Chana Dorje (Vajrapani).
Nowadays we rarely find Iron Malas in Nepal,
but they are still quite popular in Mongolia.
These mala are very valuable relics, which give a direct link

With time and use, iron mala take a very beautiful dark patina

with sand and oil, the patina comes little by little).
